We’re looking for a Tank Farm Production Operative whose role will be to blend chemicals to manufacture both part-finished and finished products within the bulk storage tanks, and also in individual work tanks. They will also be responsible for the unloading and loading of bulk chemical tankers, ensuring the correct materials are received in the correct tanks at the correct quantities, and all the required paperwork and documentation is correct.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for daily production within the tank farm, blending bulk hazardous chemicals
- Receiving both bulk and IBC chemical deliveries, working with QA to ensure the inbound materials are of the correct quality and specification
- Packaging ingredients, including bulk liquids and drumming IBC’s, etc to meet customer orders/needs
- Loading bulk and packaged shipments
- Administer Quality Assurance on raw and finished ingredients, within agreed procedure and taking any necessary action
- Highlight maintenance needs to the management team, and adopt a zero tolerance on leaks and ensure all tank farm activities are undertaken in line with OSHA standards
- Ensuring all documentation and paperwork is completed accurately and in full
- Maintain clean work areas and adhering to all hygiene practices and regulations
Skills & experience:
- Knowledge of the chemical industry
- 1 year of Manufacturing experience required; experience as a machine operator preferred
- Ability to lift 60 Lb’s, climb stairs and stand / walk for 8 hours
- Pass a health examination and fit to wear a respirator
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- 1 year of forklift experience preferred
