Today our class leading portfolio is set to grow following acquisition by Iluma Alliance earlier in 2024.   We’re focused on innovative chemical and biological solutions to improve livestock performance, control Salmonella, E.coli, Clostridia and a host of viruses which impact animal welfare, productivity and human food security, and drive milling efficiency.  To ensure customer value and accelerate our business growth globally, Anitox is seeking to appoint a Product Manager (Swine).

Position Overview:

As Product Manager (Swine) you will ensure the success of Anitox solutions in the global swine market.  You will work together with the Anitox technical, sales, marketing, R&D and logistics teams. 

Responsibilities:

Product Portfolio Strategy and Lifecycle Management

  • Shape the product offering and user experience by setting the product vision and strategy, coordinating the development of multi-year, multi-generational product roadmaps, and participating on steering committees and product management teams to drive implementation.
  • Lead the continuous application of collected market intelligence to help (re)define PLM roadmaps, and drive sound, evidence-based portfolio recommendations and decisions aligned with business goals.
  • Coordinate the product development pipeline for assigned product portfolio.

Marketing Planning

  • Manage the annual marketing planning process for assigned product portfolio, by coordinating the development and execution of marketing plans globally.
  • Develop global integrated marketing campaign strategies for assigned product portfolio, and coordinate their execution worldwide.
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing strategy execution, by leading the development and tracking relevant metrics and performance indicators.
  • Deploy and reinforce Anitox brand and corporate identity strategy across the assigned product portfolio, both internally and externally.
  • Deploy marketing strategy best practices for segmentation, targeting, and positioning to acquire and retain customers; define and deploy globally differentiating value offers, and go-to market strategies.
  • Plan and coordinate the execution of global launch plans.

Pricing Strategy

  • Perform competitive channel and pricing analyses to develop optimal global pricing strategies.
  • Working closely with the CRO, establish and deploy pricing guidelines and corridors to regional counterparts; ensure consistent deployment of pricing practices worldwide.
  • Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SI&OP).
  • Coordinate the reconciliation of aggregated global demand with financial forecasts for assigned product portfolio.

Opportunity Identification and Analysis

  • Cultivate and maintain clear understanding of customer needs, globally; continually assess gaps against Anitox and competitor products; identify and evaluate new product development or portfolio expansion opportunities.
  • Continuously collect market intelligence by analyzing industry, public policy, and social trends to identify new market requirements, customer attitudes, demands, behaviours, and unmet customer needs.
  • Assess the global competitive landscape and track competitive activity and dynamics through targeted market research, and ad-hoc situational analyses to inform relevance of, and recommend changes to, marketing and business development strategies, as applicable.

Global Product Development System (GPDS)

  • Provide ongoing GPDS process support by participating in peer and functional reviews, and ensure quality and timely completion of global marketing deliverables, as applicable.

Experience/Qualifications/Skills:

  • DVM or Animal Science Degree. Master’s or Ph.D. in Animal Science/Nutrition/Production or Veterinary Medicine will be a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management or a related role within the animal health and nutrition industry, with a focus on monogstrics. Experience in international markets preferred.
  • Good knowledge of live animal production methods and processes, poultry nutrition and feed sanitization.
  • The ability and willingness to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, and to work in cross-functional teams to achieve customer and product objectives.
  • Well organized and an effective planner in use of resources, while demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness as market needs dictate.
    Excellent people and communication skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in English (writing and speaking). Additional language skills will be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills in applied research and proficient in project management.
  • Computer literate especially in MS Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel applications among others.
  • A self-starter with significant drive.
